Clinical Experience

Experience across the spectrum of rehabilitation

Dr. Drake has cared for patients across key phases of the rehabilitation journey, providing a broad clinical perspective on recovery, function, and long-term adaptation.

Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation

Caring for individuals immediately following major neurologic, orthopedic, or traumatic events during intensive hospital-based rehabilitation stays.

Acute Consultations

Providing physiatry consultation for hospitalized patients with rehabilitation needs, including functional decline, neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions, mobility limitations, and post-acute rehabilitation planning.

Outpatient Clinic Settings

Managing ongoing functional needs, spasticity, musculoskeletal conditions, mobility assessments, and post-rehabilitation follow-up in the clinic setting.

Skilled Nursing Facilities

Expanding physiatry consultation into skilled nursing facilities to support resident mobility, function, and interdisciplinary care collaboration.

This breadth of experience across hospital, outpatient, and skilled nursing environments reinforces a continuity of care perspective—recognizing that rehabilitation is an ongoing process that extends well beyond any single encounter.

Practice Philosophy

A patient-centered approach to restoring function

“Our goal is to help people restore function to the highest capacity possible while recognizing the pain and emotional impact that can accompany serious injury, illness, disability, and life-changing diagnoses.”

Focusing on the whole person

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation looks beyond a diagnostic label to understand how an illness, injury, or neurologic condition alters daily life. Care evaluates how medical issues impact mobility, comfort, independence, and the ability to participate in work, family, and community activities.

Physician-led collaboration

Dr. Drake works collaboratively alongside primary care physicians, specialists, physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and family members. Together, care is aligned around practical, individualized goals that support meaningful daily function.
