Physiatry is inherently collaborative. Dr. Drake works alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, primary care physicians, and medical specialists to help coordinate medical and rehabilitation goals.
While therapy disciplines deliver direct hands-on rehabilitation, the physiatrist provides medical leadership—evaluating underlying neurologic and musculoskeletal concerns, recommending targeted interventions or medications when appropriate, evaluating equipment, and refining functional goals as recovery progresses.
Dr. Drake works collaboratively with therapists, primary physicians, specialists, patients, and families to help align care around practical, patient-centered functional priorities.
